CONTRIBUTE TO REF SCHOLARSHIPS

There are three ways to contribute to help with the REF Scholarship programs:

• Provide a $110 designation course Scholarship
• Give a donation in memory or in honor of someone
• Contributions from Local Boards/Associations

DESIGNATION SCHOLARSHIPS INFO

AWARDS
Each year, the REALTORS® Education Foundation offers 15 $110 designation course Scholarships. Each scholarship winner receives a certificate valued at $110 to submit toward payment at the time of registration for one (1) designation course.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
Scholarship Recipient Must:
• Be a full time real estate agent.
• Be a member of the South Carolina REALTORS®.
• Have the recommendation of the Broker-in-Charge.
• Pass the course paid for with a GRI Scholarship. (Scholarship Recipients must repay REF for that course if not passed.)

Final selection of all scholarship winners will be made by the REALTORS® Education Foundation Scholarship Committee.

REF COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATION

Each year the REALTORS® Education Foundation offers one college scholarship. The purpose of the scholarship is to encourage and support a qualified individual with priority given to students interested in pursuing a career in real estate. The REALTORS® Education Foundation will offer one $2500 college scholarship for the 2006 fall semester.

ELIGIBILITY
Sophomore, junior and senior undergraduates and graduate students enrolled at any college or university are eligible. Scholarships are restricted to South Carolina residents.

BASIS OF AWARDS
The scholarships will be awarded on the basis of academic excellence. Students must have earned at least a 3.0 GPA or show other evidence of satisfactory academic ability. Qualities such as leadership, community involvement, and extracurricular activities will be considered. Children of REALTORS® or deceased REALTORS® shall be given priority. All information requested shall be considered confidential and the application will not be processed without complete information, personal and financial. The scholarships shall be awarded solely upon the information provided in the application, as no personal interview will be conducted.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR COMPLETING APPLICATION

  • This application is to be completed by the applicant and is to be typed.
  • Each question should be answered fully and N/A should be written for questions that do not apply.
  • If additional space is required, staple additional pages to the application.
  • Write your name on each attached page.
  • An official transcript from each college you have attended must be included with the application.
  • Please read each page carefully before beginning and include any other pertinent information you wish the Scholarship Committee to consider under the Additional Comments sections.

All information requested will remain confidential.
If you have any questions or need additional information concerning the Scholarship Program, please contact the REALTORS® Education Foundation by email. All candidates will be notified in writing by the Scholarship Committee.

ASSOCIATION EXECUTIVE SCHOLARSHIP

The REALTORS® Education Foundation will award up to three scholarships to Association Executives for the Regional Association Executives Conference.

Each scholarship will be $600.00.
