
REALTORS® Education Foundation of SC, Inc
The REALTORS® Education Foundation of South Carolina, Inc (REF) is a non-profit organization whose purpose is exclusively educational. The foundation accepts tax-deductible donations to fund scholarships and promote quality real estate education programs that will raise the bar of professionalism in the real estate industry.
REF Scholarship Programs
College Scholarship
REF offers one $2500 annually to South Carolina sophomores, juniors, seniors and graduate students who are attending colleges or universities that have a real estate program. Scholarship recipients are selected based on academic excellence. Children of REALTORS® or deceased REALTORS® are given priority, provided they meet all other criteria.
Designation Course Scholarships
2010 REF Scholarship Application
REF awards fifteen $110 designation course scholarships annually to winners selected by the REF Scholarship Committee. Recipients of these scholarships must be full time real estate agents who are members of the South Carolina REALTORS®. REF may award additional designation course scholarships when donated by REALTOR® members.
Association Executive Scholarships
REF awards three $600 scholarships for selected AE's to attend the Regional Association Executive Seminar. The deadline for submitting applications is May 31, each year.

Supplementation of special worthwhile educational seminars for REALTORS®
Contributions to REF
REALTORS® who would like to improve the image of the Real Estate profession and feel that education is the key may want to offer their support through contributions to REF.
REF accepts contributions as follows:
- Contributions to the Memorial Scholarship Fund in any amount, given in memory or in honor of someone. These contributions provide funds for the college and designation course scholarship programs.
- Designation Course Scholarship donations in the amount of $110 that can be given in the name of the donor or in the name of someone the donor wishes to honor. The donor may indicate who they wish to receive the scholarship they donate.
- Donations to the REF Contribution Account for AE Scholarships and to fund worthwhile education projects.
